The Collection - Motor Racing & Self Drive Tours
Among the average Italian's biggest passions you will find family, food, wine, soccer and auto racing. The legacy left to us by geniuses like Michelangelo and Da Vinci is mirrored in those of Ferrari and Nuvolari. Nothing stirs the emotions like seeing a blood red Ferrari scream down a straightaway. Italy is the only country to host two Formula 1 races each year: San Marino in the spring, Monza in the fall. Then there are the historic races each year that retrace the routes of the fabled Mille Miglia and Targa Florio. There are the car museums of marques like Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, and Maserati. (Sorry, tours of the Ferrari factory are now limited to Ferrari owners only - and we can't help you there). Then there are the things you can do instead of watch. Imagine taking over Monza racetrack for the day, just you and your group, racing around the same circuit that Michael Schumacher does! Or, how about attending a high performance driving school? How about a self-drive tour? Cars and Italy go together like tomato and basil.
