Genoa has a rich history of its own, but only 2 hours drive from Genoa is Milano and the lakes of Como and Maggiore, and their attraction is undeniable, given their proximity to Genoa. Milano is the New York of Italy, only with a 1,500 year old history thrown in, and Stresa and Como have dotted the covers of countless Conde Nasts. Daily Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Milano Malpensa (or Genoa pier), and transfer to the hotel, enjoying a panoramic tour of Milano en route. (If arriving Genoa first, ie a post-, then a tour of Milano will be offered the next day)
Day 2
Full buffet breakfast at the hotel. Today the entire day is free to explore, shop, or just relax and take it all in. (morning tour of Milano for a post-cruise package) unch on own, followed by an afternoon transfer to Lake Como or Maggiore.
Day 3
Full buffet breakfast at the hotel. Morning tour of either Como or Stresa, depending on location. Balance of day free, lunch and dinner on own.
Day 4
Full buffet breakfast at the hotel. Depending on departing time of flight or cruise, the morning may be free. Transfer to the pier or airport for departure.
